Dr. Marie Eugene is an Associate Professor and epileptologist in the Department of Neurology at the University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Medicine. She served as the Neurology Clerkship Director for almost a decade and currently serves as the School’s Clinical Principal, overseeing third-and fourth-year clerkships along with the Assistant Dean for Clinical Medical Education.
Since 2022, Dr. Eugene has proudly served as the Education, Research, and Methodology Topic Chair for the American Academy of Neurology’s Annual Meeting Scientific Program abstract review process and is a member of the Conference Subcommittee. She has also served on the Executive Council of the Association of University Professors of Neurology (AUPN) as a Clerkship Director. Dr. Eugene’s passion for medical education led her to pursue a Master of Science degree in Health Professions Education.
