Bruno Benitez, MD

Dr. Bruno A. Benitez is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience at Harvard Medical School, within the Division of Movement Disorders at BIDMC. He also holds an associate membership at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Dr. Benitez serves as the Director of the Biorepository in the BIDMC Department of Neurology.
As a physician-scientist and human geneticist, he integrates human multi-omic approaches with functional validation in patient-derived cellular models and preclinical mouse models of neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Benitez’s lab employs genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics to create a highly detailed molecular atlas of biospecimens from patients with neurological diseases.
