Boston Children's Hospital
Dr. Richard Goldstein is the Director of Robert’s Program on Sudden Unexpected Death in Pediatrics (SUDEP) at Boston Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He investigates “undiagnosed diseases” in SUDP, using enhanced phenotyping and genetic analysis, and conducts grief research on family coping. His work shows a role for genetic predisposition and epilepsy-like mechanisms in unexplained pediatric deaths, even when there is not an established history of epilepsy.
