Dr. Pengyu Kan is a fourth-year PhD student in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, advised by Professors Kenichi Oishi and Craig Jones. His research focuses on deep learning for brain MRI analysis, including transformer-based brain age estimation and diffusion models for neonatal lesion inpainting. His interests include multimodality design, clinical applications of deep learning, and the generalizability of medical imaging models. His broader goal is to develop robust AI tools to support early detection and understanding of neurodegenerative diseases.
