Marleny Nolasco, BS (SIG Oral Presenter)

Marleny Nolasco graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. She works in the Neurosciences Clinical Trials Unit at the UNC School of Medicine as a clinical research coordinator. Marleny leads several neuroimmunology studies, including research on multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, along with a clinical trial on neurdegineration treatment for HIV and aging population. Additionally, she assists in global health studies, primarily in Latin America, researching prevalence, risk factors, and approaches to improve healthcare access in low- and middle-income countries. In the future, she hopes to blend her passion for education and health to advance health literacy in underserved communities.
