Dr. Karameh Kuemmerle is a pediatric neurologist and epileptologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her clinical expertise focuses on epilepsy and brain injury, with a broader commitment to global child neurology and health equity. She is an affiliate faculty member of the Global Health Program at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Kuemmerle leads the Health for Palestine Pediatric Program, which provides neurological care and community health training in refugee camps across the West Bank. She also works with refugee populations in Syria and Turkey, collaborating with international neurologists and mental health professionals. Her work addresses the intersection of neurological disease, exposure to violence in low-resource settings, and displacement, highlighting the complex challenges of delivering care in areas affected by conflict and instability.
