Jiyoon Hwang, MPH (SIG Oral Presenter)

Columbia University Eleanor and Lou Gehrig ALS Center
Jiyoon Hwang is currently a research assistant at the Eleanor and Lou Gehrig ALS Center at Columbia University where she supports observational clinical research studies. She will be presenting work recognized as an abstract of distinction, highlighting the relationship between GLP-1-related medications and survival in ALS patients with diabetes. Dr. Jiyoon received her BS in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from UCLA and her MPH in Health Services from Brown University. With her background in public health and aspirations as a future physician, Jiyoon hopes to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice to advance equitable, evidence-based care.
