Jayant Acharya, MD, DM, FANA

Dr. Jayant Acharya is Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology and Executive Director of the Neuroscience Institute at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He completed medical school and medicine and neurology residencies in India. In the U.S., he completed another neurology residency at Wake Forest University and an epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
Subsequently, he held academic faculty positions at several U.S. universities. He has received numerous honors and awards for academic, research, and teaching excellence, served on multiple professional committees and has been a session chair, speaker and panelist at various conferences, including ANA and AAN annual meetings. He currently serves as the Chair of the ANA Professional Development Workshop Subcommittee and a Councilor of the AUPN. He is an Associate Editor for Clinical Neurophysiology Practice and on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Neurophysiology.
