George Uhl, MD, PhD, FANA

Dr. George Uhl is a fellow of the ANA and of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, Chief of Neurology at the Maryland VA and Professor of Neurology and Pharmacology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He trained at Johns Hopkins and has served on the faculties at Hopkins, Harvard/MGH, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, NIH and the University of New Mexico/New Mexico VA. Dr. Uhl sees patients with neurodegenerative disorders. His laboratory is advancing novel small molecule therapeutics aimed at targets identified by GWAS for addiction, pain, obesity and Alzheimer’s disease. He has authored almost 400 publications and trained hundreds of fellows, residents and students.
