Dr. Elizabeth Berry-Kravis is a Professor of Pediatrics, Neurological Sciences and Anatomy and Cell Biology at Rush University Medical Center. She has conducted research on fragile X syndrome (FXS) since 1992, and more recently, on other neurogenetic diseases, including outcome measure, biomarker and natural history studies. She has conducted clinical trials of treatments targeted to the underlying disease in FXS, Phelan McDermid syndrome, NPC, Angelman syndrome, Rett syndrome, and Batten disease, and has led the translational effort to develop new models for developing targeted treatments for FXS and multiple other genetic neurological diseases, including N-of-1 trials.
