Dr. Costantino Iadecola is Director and Chair of the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine. A pioneer in neurovascular unit research, he has advanced our understanding of neurovascular dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases, and the role of immunity and microbiota in stroke. With over 400 publications, he is listed among Clarivate Analytics’ “Highly Cited Researchers” and has received numerous awards, including the American Heart Association’s Basic Science Prize and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism.
