Antonia Schonwald, MS (ANA2025 Emerging Scholar)

Dr. Antonia Schonwald is a student at New York Medical College, where she studies infantile epileptic spasm syndrome. She earned an MS in Biology with a focus in neurophysiology from UC San Diego. Her research spans epilepsy, learning and memory, traumatic brain injury, neuropharmacology, and wearable technology. In addition to her research, Antonia is dedicated to education and has taught numerous neuroscience courses at the graduate and medical school levels. She is passionate about translational neuroscience and aims to bridge clinical care with scientific progress to improve outcomes in neurologic disease.
