Allison Martin, MD

Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Dr. Allison Martin is a pediatric neuro-oncologist and physician-scientist focused on identifying novel immune therapies for medulloblastoma. She began her journey in medical school, where she studied multiple sclerosis using EAE models. Dr. Martin reasoned that if the immune system could generate a devastating pathological response in the brain, it should also be capable of mounting an effective response against brain tumors. Since then, her work has focused on understanding the role of immune checkpoints—the “brakes” of the immune system—in pediatric neuro-oncology, and how they can be exploited for therapy.
