Wenqin Luo, MD, PhD

Dr. Wenqin Luo is a Professor in the Department of Neuroscience, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Her lab is interested in understanding molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying mammalian somatosensation, such as pain and itch, and how changes of these mechanisms lead to chronic pain and itch. She has studied development, molecular profiles, functions, circuits, and behaviours associated with somatosensory neurons using mice and human primary tissues as the model systems.
