Vikram Khurana, MD, PhD

Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard University
Dr. Vikram Khurana holds the Tracy Batchelor Chair of Neurology at MassGeneral Brigham. In the field of Parkinson’s disease and related disorders, he has made contributions to understanding alpha-synuclein biology and toxicity using model systems ranging from yeast to human stem cells. He has helped advance novel therapies to clinical trial, uncovered new links between alpha-synuclein and mRNA biology, developed iPSC models that closely mimic human a-syn pathology, and established computational and network biology frameworks to enable patient stratification and targeted therapeutics for polygenic neurodegenerative disorders. He leads the Harvard Biomarkers Study and MyTrial Programs at MassGeneral Brigham.
