Sherry Chou, MD, MSc, FNCS, FCCM, FANA

Dr. Sherry Chou is a physician-scientist with clinical expertise in neurology, vascular neurology and neurocritical care. Dr. Chou studied Medicine at McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and completed clinical training at the Massachusetts General Brigham Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She served as assistant professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, and subsequently as associate professor of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. She now serves as the Chief of Neurocritical Care Division and Associate Professor of Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Chou’s research program focuses on the role of inflammation and immune response in vascular brain injuries and biomarker discovery in critically-ill patients, specifically in subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Dr. Chou has extensive experience in building multicenter human biorepository and biomarker studies and clinical trials in SAH.
