Sherry Chou, MD, MSc, FNCS, FCCM, FANA

Dr. Sherry Chou is a physician-scientist with clinical expertise in neurology, vascular neurology, and neurocritical care. She studied medicine at McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and completed her clinical training at Massachusetts General Brigham Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and later as an Associate Professor of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. She now serves as Chief of the Neurocritical Care Division and Associate Professor of Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Chou’s research program focuses on the role of inflammation and immune response in vascular brain injuries, as well as biomarker discovery in critically ill patients—specifically in subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). She has extensive experience in building multicenter human biorepository and biomarker studies, as well as clinical trials in SAH.
