Dr. Marie Eugene is an Associate Professor and epileptologist in the Department of Neurology at the University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Medicine. She served as the Neurology Clerkship Director for almost a decade and currently serves as the School’s Clinical Principal, overseeing third- and fourth-year clerkships along with the Assistant Dean for Clinical Medical Education. Dr. Eugene has been proud to serve as the Education, Research, and Methodology Topic Chair for the American Academy of Neurology’s Annual Meeting Scientific Program abstract review process as of 2022, and a member of the Conference Subcommittee. She has also served on the American University of Professors in Neurology’s Executive Council as a Clerkship Director. Dr. Eugene’s passion for medical education led to her pursuit of a Master of Science degree in Health Professions Education.
