Frederic Schaper, MD, PhD

Dr. Frederic Schaper is an Instructor in Neurology and Director of Epilepsy Network Mapping at the Center for Brain Circuit Therapeutics of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He received an MD, PhD in the Netherlands focused on thalamic deep brain stimulation (DBS) for patients with severe epilepsy, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship on lesion network mapping at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. His current research focuses on mapping brain networks involved in epilepsy using brain lesions and DBS to improve neuromodulation treatments for patients with epilepsy.
