Dr. Fanny Elahi is a physician-scientist and Associate Professor of Neurology, Neuroscience, Pathology and Molecular and Cell-Based Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Elahi’s goal is to understand vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia and to develop new therapies that protect brain function in the face of Alzheimer’s, CADASIL, and other neurodegenerative diseases. The Elahi lab’s multidisciplinary approach combines deep clinical, cellular, and molecular phenotyping to model disease, identify early biomarkers and identify therapeutic targets.
